Introduction
Safety engineering studies the causes and process of industrial disasters and explores scientific and technological means to prevent them from occurring. While traditional engineering disciplines are mainly about production processes, focusing on the movement of energy or substances, safety engineering scientifically identifies accidents that emerge from the production process to provide a healthy production environment for human beings to work in. It offers a comprehensive area of study while being closely associated with physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, construction engineering, industrial hygiene, psychology, economics, law, and business administration.

The objective of safety engineering is to pursue soundness and efficiency in production processes and ensure a smooth flow of production activities by scientifically identifying and analyzing various types of disaster causes, providing scientific prevention strategies and planning disaster prevention measures from the planning and design stage for industrial facilities.
